TechPOS International Corp is a Canadian SaaS company serving more than 1,000 retail stores across North America.
We provide point-of-sale and retail management technology for specialty retailers, with tools across POS, inventory, reporting, e-commerce, digital menus, customer loyalty, and operational management.
We are scaling our sales organization and looking for a Sales Development Representative who can help create qualified opportunities through outbound calling, account research, and consistent follow-up.

Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for outbound prospecting, starting conversations with prospective retail businesses, qualifying interest, and booking meetings for the sales team.
This is a phone-first role that requires strong communication, consistency, organization, and the ability to speak confidently with business owners, operators, and decision-makers.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, comfortable with cold calling, and interested in building real B2B SaaS sales experience in a structured sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospective retail businesses from our Vancouver office
- Research target accounts and identify the right decision-makers
- Introduce TechPOS clearly, confidently, and professionally
- Qualify prospects based on their current systems, business needs, timing, and interest level
- Book discovery calls and product demos for Account Executives
- Manage follow-ups with discipline and consistency
- Handle basic objections and route more complex questions to the sales team
- Maintain accurate CRM records, call notes, activity tracking, and next steps
- Use scripts and call frameworks while keeping conversations natural
- Collaborate with sales leadership to improve messaging, targeting, and outreach quality
- Meet daily and monthly targets for call activity, conversations, and booked meetings
- Represent TechPOS professionally in all prospect interactions
Required Qualifications
- Experience in cold calling, outbound sales, lead generation, customer service, retail sales, or a related role
- Comfortable making outbound calls and starting conversations with new prospects
- Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone presence
- Ability to speak professionally with business owners and decision-makers
- Organized and consistent with follow-ups and CRM updates
- Comfortable working with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic business software
- Self-motivated, accountable, and reliable
- Able to work in person from Vancouver, BC
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, SaaS, technology, retail systems, business services, or a related field
- Experience booking meetings or qualifying leads for an Account Executive team
- Familiarity with POS systems, e-commerce, payments, inventory management, or retail operations
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools
- Interest in cannabis retail, specialty retail, or regulated industries
Compensation
- Hourly pay: $20–$25 per hour

What Success Looks Like
A successful Sales Development Representative at TechPOS will be able to consistently make outbound calls, open quality conversations, qualify accounts, book meetings, follow up with structure, and maintain accurate CRM records.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being on the phone, takes ownership of daily activity, and is comfortable being measured by call volume, conversation quality, booked meetings, and pipeline contribution.

This is an in-person role based in Vancouver, BC.
Candidates should be comfortable working with the team in the heart of Vancouver and contributing to a high-accountability sales environment.
